Side Effects • Credibility: students can access information that is false, biased, dangerous, inappropriate • First order response: filtering software • Second order response: acceptable use policy • Side effect: students become more critical thinkers • Impact on education: we need to develop ways to help students learn to become critical surfers/servers on the web
