National AeronauticsResearchProgrammesin Poland On 1.07.2008 a national research programme “Modern Material Technologies for Aviation Industry” has started. Strategic goal of the programme is to focus the national-level aviation research on domains that have or will have decisive influence on the improvement of the competitiveness of Polish economy and constituting of the knowledge-based economy. National AeronauticsResearchProgrammesin Polandin National Research and Development Programme National Research and Development Programme – Ministry of Science and Higher Education Within Priority Research Area “Energy and infrastructure” several aeronautical topics have been identified: Materials and systems for pollution emission reduction Reliability and durability of transport Utilization of small airfields and small airplanes (GeneralAviation) in transport systems Nanotechnologies for transport applications Advanced material technologies (Strategic R&D programme) Latest update of the National R&D Programme was announced in October 2008.
