Lessons from all the above • Regulations on associated stakeholders are not always compatible with the Shipping Regulations • There is not always the Technology available to comply with the Regulations • All Stakeholders in the Shipping Industry have to work together to improve the Environmental Issues as there is already so much that has been done (Shipping most regulated transport industry) • Time, effort and resources (especially financial) are being used in areas that do not make the impact expected

  12. Shipping needs your Help! As Academia, Thought Leaders, Respected Advisors You Are In A Unique Position To Influence The Legislators, Governments And Local Authorities In Environmental Issues. As With Every Aspect Of Life There Are Limited Resources. We Must Ensure That These Resources Are Utilised On Requirements That Actually Have A Real Impact On The Environment.
