In Spirit and Truth “…true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Yes, the Father wants such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” -John 4:23-24
In Spirit and Truth “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served something created instead of the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” -Romans 1:25
In Spirit and Truth “Then Jesus told him, Go away, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God and serve only Him.” -Matthew 4:10
In Spirit and Truth “Those who make them are just like them, as are all who trust in them.” -Psalm 115:8
Where Worship Starts “…true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Yes, the Father wants such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” -John 4:23-24
Where Worship Starts Faith is at the very center of worship. Every act of worship depends on faith. Faith in God is an affirmative response to Him and that leads one two worship. Faith is extremely important to worship because anything that is not of faith is sin but everything done in faith pleases God. Without faith you cannot authentically worship God in spirit and in truth.
Where Worship Starts “I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me and heard my cry for help. He brought me up from a desolate pit, out of the muddy clay, and set my feet on a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.” -Psalm 40:1-3
Who’s Need? “The God who made the world and everything in it-He is Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in shrines made by hands. Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything…” -Acts 17:24-25
Who’s Need? “…day and night they never stop saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God, the Almighty, who was , who is, and who is coming.” -Revelation 4:8
Who’s Need? God is never found in need. He doesn’t need our worship but He wants our worship. So when we authentically worship Him, we are fulfilling our need and not His.
