Use of Structural Funds for eHealth • Lumiora: Sweden's largest and fastest regional broadband network (ERF) • distance training • electronic trade • distance work • eHealth • EU Commission’s claim: • Provide access to ICT and internet until 2010 assets
Integrated Care Administration System - VAS • Single sign-on • Independent modules can be merged • Integrated with other systems such as PACS, IMACS, ECG, Pharmacy and AmbuLink • 5 hospitals • 33 health centres • 40 dental care centres • Uniform system for all medical records Designed by users for users
Use of Structural Funds for eHealth Cross-Border Healthcare in Tornedalen Managed by: The County Council of Norrbotten ERDF: 346 000 (euro) Municipalities in north Sweden and north Finland… people are to receive equal care regardless of their land border…(phase 1) • identifying obstacles and opportunities • identifying twinning projects • propose a plan of action epSOS (Smart Open Services for European Patients)
