If you need catalogs to use as a reference, just ask for our “New Customer Information Sheets”. There is a section containing 800 numbers for most of these catalogs. You may call & get on their mailing lists. These catalogs are not wholesale but retail catalogs. They will help you to know what retail is & to show your customers what a bargain they are going to getting buying from you at half of retail. Terms & Definitions Catalog Exchange: Items that have been ordered & returned through mail order catalogs. Stickers marking where a minor soil mark, perfume smell, or slub is in the fabric are sometimes present. If there is a missing button, 90% of the time there is a replacement button on the garment. For the most part these goods are just wrinkled or have a minor amount of lint on them. A good commercial steamer will make 80% of these garments ready to sell in no time. 1st Quality: Items that are overstocks or discontinued catalog items. These items will tend to be a bit behind the season as they are from the prior catalogs that are discontinuing. Sizes tend to run a little smaller in some instances & there are more duplications. Irregular: No holes, rips or tears. Usually a fabric mill flaw (slub in the fabric), a minor stain (usually sewing machine oil or dirt from the factory floor), a sewing error (hemmed too short or long), or does not meet specifications (should have been a different color).
