International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology (IJCPT) ISSN:2167-910X In order to understand the basic mechanism of drug action in humans, we need to understand the start and the end point of a drug passage. This process can be identified with the help of Clinical Pharmacology. Clinical Pharmacology, helps with the discovery of new target molecules, and also with the effects of drug usage in the whole populations. Clinical pharmacology helps to modify drug therapy, with respect to the patient's genotype, and to ensure maximum efficiency with minimal contrary effects. Clinical Pharmacology has expanded to be a multidisciplinary field and has contributed to the understanding of drug interaction, therapeutic efficacy and safety in humans. Clinical pharmacology connects the gap between medical practice and laboratory science. The main objective is to promote the safety of prescription, maximise the drug effects and minimise the side effects. Clinical Pharmacy is one of the recent branches of pharmacy, it started nearly a quarter of a century ago and produced a new generation of clinical pharmacists interested in patient-oriented services rather than traditional focusing on medicinal product to co-operate with the medical team in the care of patients . Clinical pharmacy is a health specialty, which describes the activities and services of the clinical pharmacist to develop and promote the rational and appropriate use of medicinal products and devices.
