MSA VISION 03-04 March 2009
MSA VISION The Vision of an organisation should be determined by one single word –Values Values The non-negotiable principles, standards and qualities that define an organisation’s beliefs and ways of doing things
VALUES Describe what an organisation stands for Establish moral and ethical priorities that guide an organisation in its decision making and actions Assist an organisation in maintaining its integrity
VALUE STATEMENTS Not too many Easy to remember Clearly understood Everyone can “Buy In”
VALUES Fairness and transparency should lead all processes Professionalism related to competences (volunteers and experts) – good functioning in the sport has a consequence on the image (credibility) MSA should continuously encourage volunteerism and professionalism through passion and commitment
VALUES • Inclusion must be related to fairness (participation open to all) – unity instead of inclusion • Organisation must adopt, develop and maintain the highest standards of fairness and safety, (In MSA’s case, also be committed to transformation and sustainability of the environment)
VALUES • Be transparent and professional in everything it does • Without volunteers, MSA could not exist. Volunteerism is the backbone of MSA and motorsport. It is linked to passion. Training and responsibility should always lead to recognition of all volunteers
