  1. Solo Ads Experts Stephen de Jager Prashant Sharma Following are the questions that Prashant asked Stephen de Jager about Solo Ads Business during their brief conversation. Powered by SoloAdsX.com

  2. Question 1: What kind of offers converts the best with solo ads? I have always found that low-ticket and tripwire offer convert best with solo ad traffic. The reason being that in most cases, your offer and brand has not built any trust with the audience. Thus, you leverage the trust that the list owner/solo ad seller has with their own subscribers. The number one aim when buying solo ads is to build a list of your own and this is done by sending the traffic to a high converting opt-in page or in some cases and irresistible but very low-ticket product, say between $1 and $7.

  3. Question 2: What is better when it comes to getting conversions? Mixed Clicks, Pure Solos, Tier 1 only Solo Ads or something else? It depends entirely on what you offer and how you choose to promote that offer. Having any Geo-targeting requirements will also play a big part in what kind of traffic you choose. I have always found that the customers selling higher ticket products, services and courses prefer Top Tier (Tier 1) traffic for the most part but there are always exceptions to any rule.

  4. Question 2: What is better when it comes to getting conversions? Mixed Clicks, Pure Solos, Tier 1 only Solo Ads or something else? There are people living outside of the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand who not only have money, they are also interested in buying things online and some of them even speak English!! I know right, I was shocked when I found out as well.

  5. Question 2: What is better when it comes to getting conversions? Mixed Clicks, Pure Solos, Tier 1 only Solo Ads or something else? There are pros and cons to buying mixed clicks vs buying pure solo clicks or pure funnel clicks and I find that most of this are the speed at which a seller can deliver your clicks. When someone is sending an email to their whole list or some part of their list, it can take longer to deliver the same number of mixed clicks

  6. Question 2: What is better when it comes to getting conversions? Mixed Clicks, Pure Solos, Tier 1 only Solo Ads or something else? This is because a click to your link has come from someone opening an email and then clicking on the link in that email. I don’t care how s**t-hot your email writing is you will never be able to generate as many clicks as you could by buying mixed clicks from a handful of vendors and sending all the traffic to the one link.

  7. Question 3: How are solo ads different from FB Ads? Which is better according to you? I think that I’m somewhat biased here because of the dismal results I had putting a few thousand dollars into FB ads without a single cent returned on the investment. I was so gutted that when I stumbled into the world of solo ads and funnel clicks and had some success. Thereby, I just went with what worked for me.

  8. Question 3: How are solo ads different from FB Ads? Which is better according to you? Though, I still probably couldn’t make anything running Facebook ads; but have made a great deal of money for myself and my customers using solo ads. Although, Facebook ads are far more laser targeted and that definitely has its place but in my experience, solo ads are by far the best way to build up a list and then start monetizing that list.

  9. Question 4: What is the #1 solo ad buying hack that you can tell us? (Since most of the readers are going to be buyers of solo ads). Learn to use ClickMagick properly because it is an incredible tool for solo ads buyers just as much as for sellers. You can track some amazing things and there is some clever Jedi-ninja stuff you can do with it. It’s important to use the right tools for the job. Thus, ClickMagick is used by so many sellers (and buyers) for a reason.

  10. Question 5: What is the biggest mistake people make while buying solo ads? The biggest mistake people make is not being clear enough about what their goal is. Understand/accept that 100 Clicks is going to rarely provide enough data to see whether your offer and landing age are any good, let alone whether the traffic being sent to that offer is any good. I’m always amazed when people are upset over the results of a 100 Click order.

  11. Question 5: What is the biggest mistake people make while buying solo ads? I haven’t sent less than 1000 Clicks to an affiliate offer or one of my own pages before deciding whether the source of traffic or the offer/landing page were going to be worth scaling up. Each time I run a split test on one of my funnels I am running 100 Clicks minimum to decide which variant performs better.

  12. Question 6: What are the opt-in and conversion rates can be expected from a solo ad run? It’s so hard to put a number on that because there are so many variables. An extreme example to illustrate the point would be sending Internet Marketing traffic to a Weight Loss offer, there would be next to no conversions because the traffic wasn’t targeted at the same niche.

  13. Question 6: What are the opt-in and conversion rates can be expected from a solo ad run? I generally start looking for another traffic source if the conversions are less than 20% on a page someone else has designed but on my own pages, anything less than 40% means something is very wrong. That said, I’ve had customers rocking at 70%+ opt-in rates, so I think it is all a matter of matching your offer and landing page design to the people who are looking at it.

  14. Question 7: How should the follow-up sequence be? 1 email per day? Value Driven? Pure Push Marketing Emails? or something else? The most profitable thing you can do is build a good relationship with your list. Write your own emails (or have someone else do all of them for you). It is good to give some insight and entertainment in exchange for the clicks and (hopefully) buying your products etc.

  15. Question 7: How should the follow-up sequence be? 1 email per day? Value Driven? Pure Push Marketing Emails? or something else? A good relationship with your list is not always going to pay off. There are a number of reasons why people buy or don’t buy, and just because you write an engaging email does not mean that people will buy your stuff. It will, however, make it more likely that people will buy.

  16. Question 8: What are the top products/services that you just can’t run your business without? (1) ClickMagick – Click Tracking (2) ClickFunnels/Actionetics – Landing Page software and Autoresponder (3) PayPal – Payment Processing (4) Excel or Google Sheets – Recordkeeping and ‘crunching the numbers’.

  17. Question 9: What is your #1 tip for anyone using solo ads to promote their business? Like most things, solo ads will not work if you aren’t consistent. You have to stick with it longer than 5 seconds to start getting the results; that makes the effort worthwhile. “TEST only one traffic source at a time“. You should avoid running FB ads, buying solo ads and then trying to do Snapchat and Instagram on alternating Tuesdays.

  18. Question 9: What is your #1 tip for anyone using solo ads to promote their business? Pick a source of traffic and stick with it until you are crushing it and then look at adding a second traffic source. If you are going to run solo ads, be prepared to do so exclusively until you have collected enough data; to make a data-driven decision about what is best for your business and your offer.
