Event 1:Christmas of Festival of Lights • Location:Natchitoches, LA • Date:November 21, 2015-January 6, 2016 • Host:Lee Posey • Cost:Free admission to Front Street and Downtown Riverbank • Details of Event: Over 300,000+ Christmas lights and 100 plus riverbank set pieces are on every night from November 21, 2015 through January 6, 2016. Downtown attractions include carriages tours through the historic district. Shops and restaurants open late. All events take place in the Landmark Historic District along the Cane River Lake and along the Cane River Lake south of Natchitoches.

  3. Event 2: Christmas on the River • Location:Monroe, LA • Date: November 11, 2015-January 1, 2016? Different times for special events. • Host:Jamie Mayo • Cost:Free admission/ or payed admission for (Special Activities) • Details of Event:Start off the season with the tree lighting ceremony of the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum Freedom Trees honoring veterans with a patch, ribbon, medal, or photo from their military service. On November 11, the trees will be turned on at a Special Ceremony at 5 pm.

Event 3: Cajun and Creole Christmas • Location:Lafayette, LA • Date: November 1-December 31, 2015 • Host:Joey Durel • Cost:$2-$15 (for different activities at this event) • Details of Event: Cajun Country is transformed into a winter wonderland throughout the month of December with "A Cajun and Creole Christmas" as Acadiana presents festivals of light, parades, tours of homes and holiday events. Use our annual "A Cajun & Creole Christmas" brochure as a guide to attractions featuring holiday programming.

Event 4: Christmas New Orleans Style • Location:New Orleans, LA (Louisiana) • Date:November 25, 2015 • Host: Mitch Landrieu • Cost:Free Admission • Details of Event:Christmas New Orleans Style is a month long event where feasts and finery await you at every corner of town. Come listen to a concert in the St. Louis Cathedral, or go caroling in Jackson Square. Enjoy a Yuletide feast with Reveillon Dinners offered at many restaurants. Take some time to enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of Christmas celebrated the New Orleans way!

Event 5: Cajun Christmas • Location:lake Charles, Louisiana • Date:December 16, 2015 • Host:Randy Roach • Cost:Free Admission • Details of event: Come during the holiday season and expect to have fun while you shop until you drop at Mistletoe and Moss Holiday Market, or soak up the arts with a holiday concert by the Lake Charles Symphony or a stirring ballet by the Lake Charles Civic Ballet and other performances from local theatre companies.
