  3. Career Selection • Asked simple questions: “How did you become interested in career?” “Why did you choose this career?” • Answers gave me a better feel for what career might be like • Cool to talk to someone who actually practices that profession

  4. College Selection • Helped with getting into colleges • Class made my applications look more professional • Asked for letters of recommendation • Completed my personal statement

  5. Financial Considerations • Looked through prices of schools • Learned how to do FAFSA • Learned about scholarships • Learned ways to bring school cost down • WUE • Financial Aid

  6. College and Career Plans • Initially going to UC Santa Cruz • College student interview helped me change my mind • Business and Management of Restaurant • Runs in the family • Class helped me get into college • Northern Arizona • Got WUE • Lowered cost

  7. College and Career Plans • Opened me up to new careers • Helped me choose a career that really suited me • Learned about what kind of money you can make at certain jobs • Looked at similar careers
