Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a most common type of leukemia found in adults. It is a kind of malignancy characterized by production of abnormal white blood cells in the bone marrow. Symptoms include, swelling of the lymph nodes, fatigue, fever, infection, pain beneath the ribs, and weight loss. Although CLL is rarely seen in children and people under age 40, it is more prevalent in geriatric population. Moreover, causes of CLL are largely unknown and it is more severe than acute leukemia.
