Visuals are absolutely everything when it comes to fashion but in a fashion show? Sound and music dominate the ranks. It doesn't matter whether you've attended one or not. Just ask anyone to picture a fashion show... and they'll see a crowd full of people and hear the pulsating beat of the music in the background. The world of fashion has had a long history with the music scene that brought us some wonderfully beautiful styles throughout the years. From the punk-inspired revolution of Vivienne Westwood to the Nineties grunge movement of Marc Jacobs, the influence of music is clearly visible but even more intrinsic during a show. The sounds of fashion dictate more than just the energy but set the mood of the entire collection for the season. And unbeknown to many outside of the production crew, designers approach music as carefully as they would their clothes as these two elements work together to portray and capture the essence of a collection.
