  3. SmarterMeasure • Computer-based • Pre-orientation assessment • Available on any computer with a reliable internet connection • Campus computer labs available, if necessary • Pendleton Campus – PK 140, FP 301 • Anderson Campus – AC 130 • Easley Campus – EC 122

  4. What is SmarterMeasure? • Originally designed to assess student readiness for online learning • Assesses learning readiness, not academic preparation • No right or wrong answers • Learn more about yourself • Results may suggest skills to strengthen

  5. What will be covered? • Life factors • Personal attributes • Learning styles • Technical competency, skills, and knowledge • Reading rate and recall • Typing speed and accuracy

  6. How do I begin? • Click on http://tctc.smartermeasure.com/located in this eTC channel • On SmarterMeasure homepage • First Time User Login • Username:tctcstudent • Password:tctcstudent • On information page, key • First name and last name • TCTC email address: _____@tctc.edu

  7. How long will the assessment take? • 35-40 minutes • Can’t finish all at once? • Click “I need to stop” button • PIN will be sent to email address on file • To continue, log back into http://tctc.smartermeasure.com/ • PIN needed to re-enter the assessment

  8. How will I see my results? • Results available immediately • Remember! This is not a graded assessment! • Advisor will review with you
