Singing Career • During the 1960s, she helped bring the girls groupThe Supremes to stardom. • She was the lead singer of The Supremes before leaving for a solo career in the beginning of 1970. • Diana Ross has sold more than 100 million albums. Many of her albums and songs hit top spots on the music charts. Some famous ones are ‘I’m Still Waiting’ and ‘Remember Me’.

  4. Acting Career • Opening in October 1972, ‘Lady Sings the Blues’was a success and Ross' performance was phenomenal. • In 1973, Ross was nominated for both the Golden Globe Award and the Academy Award for ‘Best Actress’.

  6. Personal Life • Cliff Richard was born Harry Roger Webb on 14 October 1940 in Lucknow, India. • He is known to have mixed Indian and White ancestry. • Cliff is an English singer, actor and a businessman.

  7. Singing Career • Cliff was part of a band called The Shadows in the 1960s. They split up in 1968. • He was a very versatile singer and was known songs like ‘Congratulations’ and ‘Power To All Our Friends’. • Embarking on a solo career , Cliff has sold more than 250 million copies of his albums.

  8. Acting Career • Cliff acted his first serious role in the movie ‘Two a Penny’ in 1968. • He became a television personality from 1971 onwards when he starred in the show ‘It’s Cliff’. • He made a short comedy film titled ‘The Case’. • He starred in ‘Take Me High’ in 1973.

  10. Personal Life • Cher was born Cherilyn Sarkisian on May 20, 1946 in California • She is an American pop singer-songwriter, actress and record producer. • Cher had dyslexia which was not treated.

  11. Singing Career • Cher established herself as a solo recording artist and a television star in the 1970s. • She made many top hits on the music charts with songs like ‘All I Ever Need Is You’,‘The Way of Love’ and ‘Dark Lady’. • She has sold almost 275 million records worldwide.

  12. Television Career her husband at that time • In 1970, Sonny and Cher starred in their first television special, The Sonny and Cher Nitty Gritty Hour. • Cher won a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance By an Actress in a Television Series for The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour in 1974.
