  2. ACE Construction Company has just finished building a house. Your job as FENS CARPETS & FLOORING Company is to lay the flooring in the rooms! However you must make all the calculations and work to a budget. This is the floor plan…

  3. How will we work out how much it costs to carpet both rooms? What information will we need?

  4. Length Remember … l x h = Area in m2 2 x length + 2 x height = Perimeter Height

  5. Groups 1, 2 & 3 Work out the area and perimeter of the Hall Groups 4 & 5 Work out the area and perimeter of the Front room Be ready to report back to the whole team.

  6. Now we will use the price list to calculate the cost of the flooring for your room. Cost of carpet per m2 = £ 5 for Hall Cost of carpet per m2 = £ 9 for Front Room

  7. How will we work out how much is costs to put skirting boards in the rooms? Skirting board costs £ 4 per m
