HISTORY • Word Maggi comes from the swiss entrepreneur Julius Maggi • Came into existence in 1872 in Switzerland when Julius Maggi took over his father's mill • Aim was to provide more nutritional food for working class families • Introduced legume based meals in the market followed by readymade soups

  3. Launched Maggi seasoning cubes in 1886 to help improve the flavor of food • Founded the Maggi GmbH in 1897 in Germany • Merged with Nestle in 1947 and formed Nestle-Alimentana S.A

  4. PROGRESS • In 1980's Nestle launched the '2 minute Maggi Noodles' in India With the starting price as low as Rs 2.50 per 100 grams • Nestlé has reassured consumers in the Middle East that all Maggi products sold are safe and compliant with the highest quality standards

  5. Synonymous with instant noodles and sometimes ketchup • Most famous product is bouillon cube • Most popular in India, Malaysia and Pakistan • Has 90% market share in India

  6. Became an instant success and every child's best friend • Maggi Seasoning sauce is popular in around 15 plus Asian and German speaking countries altogether
