Key Facts for Bangladesh Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Responsible for all Telecom related Standardization & Quality assurance. BTRC has all sorts of enforcement and regulatory authorization. Bangladesh Standardization & Testing Institution (BSTI) Responsible for certain areas of country specific Standardization issue in collaboration with BTRC. Telecom and ICT sector is often ignored from BSTI agenda. Two Governmental Bodies responsible for Telecom Standardization in Bangladesh
Manufacturing Strength & Standardization capacity We must develop our Standardization Capacity to the highest extent Whatever may be the manufacturing Status, We have a considerably large market, we have concern about our customers and sector

Conclusion & Recommendation • Including the human resource option from developing countries in regional testing labs • Integrating the concerns of developing countries regarding Standardisation & addressing through a focus group • Having a separate event for developing countries to follow up their advancement along the ‘Ladder’ (it may be a back-to-back event with TSAG)
