ZANZIBAR STONE TOWN HERITAGE SOCIETY ABOUT ZSTHSZanzibar Stone Town Heritage Society is the Non-governmental organization, which was established in 2002 and registered under the Society Act no 6 of 1995.MISSIONThe mission of ZSTHS is to promote the conservation of Zanzibar Stone Town's heritage and the environmental and cultural welfare of its inhabitants . VISION A well conserved Stone Town with a living heritage.

ZANZIBAR STONE TOWN HERITAGE SOCIETY OBJECTIVES • To create and raise general awareness of the Zanzibar stone Town’s heritage and its conservation matters • To provide technical and other support for the maintenance and sustainable improvement of the built environment • To cooperate and build partnerships between the Stone Town Conservation and Development Authority, Wakf Commission, municipal authorities and other interested public, private and community stakeholders • To lobby and influence the policies and decisions of the government and private sector relating to the Stone Town • To create activities that enhances the diversity of Stone Town culture • To collect and disseminate information on the Stone Town and to otherwise support relevant research • To promote and coordinate training and education services for enhancing socio-economic and cultural activities of the Stone Town’s inhabitants • To network with other organizations and interested individuals on local, national and international levels.

  7. ZANZIBAR STONE TOWN HERITAGE SOCIETY ZSTHS ACTIVITIES • BEACH CLEANING AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION For this activity ZSTHS cooperate with other stakeholder like staff from Stone Town Hotels ,Schools, Municipal, Zanzibar Port Authority.

  19. SEMINARS ZANZIBAR STONE TOWN HERITAGE SOCIETY ZSTHS provide different seminars concerning how to renovate the Stone town building in order to conserve and preserve the Stone town environment and its habitants.
