  3. The academic, social, and emotional growth this year will be AMAZING! • The 1st day of school will be harder for you than it will be for your child! • I believe in differentiating instruction for all students in order to help them meet their greatest potential! Your Child’s Kindergarten Year…

  4. Daily Schedule

  5. Monday: Spanish • Tuesday: P.E. • Wednesday: Music • Thursday: Art • Friday: Media & Technology (every other week) Specials Schedule

  6. Mornings in Kindergarten: • Students cannot be dropped off until 7:20 • Students should arrive at school by 7:55 a.m. each day • Quick drop off at the door helps create independent, happy kindergarteners!! • Folders come to school everyday! • Behavior calendar- any color sticker means they had a great day!

  7. Food and Drink… Water Bottles • Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school each day. These will be kept in cubbies to access during the day.

  8. Food and Drink… Small Morning Snack • Please send a small snack, labeled with your child’s name each day. We will eat a quick snack around 9:00 a.m. each morning.

Food and Drink… Lunch • We will eat lunch at 11:00 a.m. • Help your child learn their lunch number! • Lunch money can be sent in your child’s folder, labeled with their lunch number. • Allergies: Please remind your children not to share or accept food from others! • No ice cream at lunch for K’s!

  10. Please send a beach towel to school each Monday for your child to use during rest time. • Towels come home each Friday to be washed! • We will rest for about 30-40 minutes each day for the first nine weeks of school. Rest Time

  11. Kindergarten Dismissal • Car Riders will dismiss at 2:30 p.m. • New car rider procedures to help keep students safe! • Bus riders will dismiss at 2:35 p.m. • All students will be hand delivered to their bus!  • Remember that you must be at the bus stop to pick them up.

  12. I love volunteers! • Give us the first six weeks to establish routines and procedures and then we will ask for lots of your help! • Complete your background check! ParentVolunteers

  13. WHERE: Cameron Park • WHEN: October 3rd 6:00-9:00 p.m. • WHAT: Food, fun, games, prizes, and get to know other students and families! • HELP: Volunteer to donate items, help prepare for this event, and sign up to run our class booth! Fall Festival

Weekly newsletter • Take home folder notes • Phone in the classroom (ext. 40651) • Email (I check this OFTEN!) • My students and parents are like family to me BUT I do not share my personal cell phone number or friend parents on Facebook.   16. Paperwork • Complete all information in the envelope and return on your child’s 1st day of school • Make sure your child’s kindergarten physical and all health information is turned into the school nurse

  17. Know which day is your child’s 1st day of school! • Fill out the transportation information on the back table • Email sign up • Give your emergency card and information sheet to a teacher • Come back very soon and complete your background check in the library! Before you leave…
