Endangered Narwhals • Introduction The Narwhal is a medium sized toothed whale that lives year round in Antarctica. Physical appearance A Narwhal is a special species of the whale family plus it is also called the unicorn of the sea and it’s tusk can grow up to 7-10 feet plus it can grow up to 13-20 feet long and weight 3,500 pounds that must be one fat whale! Diet Narwhals has an small diet it eats flatfish , cod, Gomatos squid and other forms of benthetic prey, they have been known to dive to depths of nearly 5,000 feet when in search for food. Habitat Narwhals can be found mainly at Atlantic and Russian portions of Antarctic. Individual narwhals are sometimes seen in the northern portions of the Hudson Bay, as well as the Baffin Bay, off of the eastern coast of Greenland. Special fetures Narwhals have long tusk that they use for fighting, and plus also please save the unicorn whale.
