With over 100 possible arrangements, AirTwist can easily show students how different designs affect the power a wind turbine can generate. AirTwist also allows students to observe the gearing and wiring which are encased in a clear housing. Through these innovative design features, AirTwist will not only raise awareness about wind power in our classrooms, but encourage kid’s creativity as they experiment with the many possibilities AirTwist offers. Clear housing allows students to see what’s happening within the turbine EASE OF ASSEMBLY One of the key features of AirTwist is the ability to change the wind turbine between multiple designs quickly and easily. Color coded parts and blades which lock into matching hubs are fastened together with thumb nuts. These features allow users to easily test various wind turbine designs. Specially designed hubs allow students to easily change between rotor designs SAFETY Not only do the thumb nuts provide easy variability between designs, but they ensure safety by securely locking the blades to the rotor. The addition of gearing also slows down the blades while the rotor is spinning which makes handling the wind turbine safer for students. Thumb nuts safely lock the blades into the rotor hub AirTwist is designed and produced by Joe Connor, Clayton Hose, and Steve Marshall
