  7. Conservation Measure Proposed Measure: • 5% of the extraction tax • $75-100 million/year • REQUIRED to spend 75% each year • Able to purchase land At $2,000/acre this fund could purchase 150 acres or a quarter of land every day. That’s an average-sized ND farm every 10 days.

Sakakawea Area Spill Response LLC (SASR) • Provide resources to assist the company’s members in a response in an open water incident in the Williston Basin area, including Lake Sakakawea and it’s tributaries, in order to minimize impacts and protect the public and environment • Organized in December 2011, there are currently 10 companies that are active SASR members • Two stocked spill response trailers and two response boats are available for use • A third trailer containing winter spill response equipment has been ordered • Provides training opportunities for members with the commonly-owned equipment • For additional information or questions, contact: • Jason Tuhy – 701-456-5415 or Jason.Tuhy@whiting.com • Jennifer Satterwhite – 701-456-7594 or jsatterwhite@marathonoil.com
