  2. What is divergent thinking ? English author and international advisor on education, Sir Ken Robinson says Divergent Thinking is not just creativity, but much more. He says, it rather resembles Edward De Bono’s concept of Lateral Thinking.

Definition: Anti-thesis to convergent thinking Convergent Thinking: The appraisal of an array of ideas and alternatives, which result in a single, correct and logical solution to a problem: the basis for the Intelligence Quotient (IQ) test. Divergent Thinking: The generation of diverse and original ideas with fluency and speed, yielding multiple solutions that could all be correct, viable and appropriate.

But one of the ideas is truly revolutionary. He or she suggests getting full-fledged into 3-D printing business, which is the future of printing. His or her inputs have fully come from repository of existing ideas that are of value, but not revolutionary. Exhibits higher DQ to come up with a revolutionary or path-breaking idea.
