Stamford, CTControl City Request • Sits along the I-95 corridor • Does not meet the requirements for a Control City designation • Existing adjacent Control Cities provide good directional long distance guidance to motorists • Additional signage in the NB/SB direction can be installed to better delineate location • New York State Thruway Authority agreed to add supplemental guide signs in NB direction if requested • CTDOT could install additional supplemental guide signs in SB direction • SCOTE voted to deny the request.
