2012 305(b)/303(d) Report • Draft report released April 2013 • Final report awaiting EPA approval
Data Used in the 2012 305(b) Report • Number of stations monitored by DEQ dropped 28% from 7,600 during the 2010 Report to 5,497 • Number of citizen volunteer stations submitting data grew 20% from 1,485 in 2010 Report to 1,786 • Stream miles monitored grew from 3,499 to 4,151 mi. • Lake area sampled unchanged from 30,053 to 30,026 ac • Estuary area monitored dropped from 37.47 to 29.64 mi2

FY2013 Citizen Monitoring Grants • 30 grant applications received • Requested $147,305.49 in grant funds • Citizen Monitoring Grant fund has $88,000 • 19 groups will receive awards • Award letters to be mailed in early November
