Module Title :Human Centred and Universal Design Concepts Understanding of the nature of design methodology research in relation to Human Centred and Universal Design Concepts.
Module Syllabus 4.1 Introduction to the module 4.2 Structured and non-structured design research methods 4.3 Secondary studies 4.4 Primary studies 4.4.1 Planning and feasibility phase 4.4.2 Requirements phase
4.4.3 Design phase 1.create and develop design ideas using multidisciplinary input. 2.allocatetasks between humans and machines, if necessary. 3.visualise design ideas using sketches, models, simulation and dynamic prototypes. 4.consider using paralleldesign.
5.evaluate design ideas with a few typical users to carry out typical simulated real tasks (using methods that may include storyboarding, and the expert evaluation). 6.ensure that the design takes account of design guidelines. 7.feed the results back into the design process quickly. 8.Iterate the process of design - evaluation until design objectives are fulfilled.
