  1. There is a temple in Egypt called Temple of Karnack. It has 130 columns. Each columns is 70 feet (21 meters) high. How many inches, feet, and meters high will the columns be if they are all combined?

  2. Answer key The answer is 109,200 inches, 9100 feet, and 2730 meters. First I found out how many feet high the columns are all together. I did 130 columns multiplied by 70 feet to get 9100 feet in all. Next I knew I had to multiply 9100 by 12 because there is 12 inches in one feet. I got 109,200 inches. Next I did 130 columns by 21 meters. I got 21 because the problem said there is 21 meters in one column. So, I got 2730 meters in all. That’s how I got my answer.

  3. Problem Saladin made Citadel in 1100. Mamluks ruled Egypt in 1250 to 1517. How long has it been since Saladin made Citadel? How long did the Mamluksruled Egypt? Then add it together. How much time is it?

  4. Answer key 150 Years, 417. First I did 1250 minus 1100 to get 150 years. Next I did 1517 minus 1250 to get 267. Then I did 150 plus 267 to get 417. This is what I did to get my answer.
