  2. Mohenjo-Daro was a city of 40,000 people in the Indus River Valley. It had brick streets and brick houses. Their engineers built a sewer system and a bath house with a pool sized bath. The west end of the city had a citadel and grain warehouse. Mohenjo-Daro

  3. Harappa was another city in the Indus river valley. It lasted about 1,000 years. It probably had the same layout as Mohenjo-Daro. It must have had a strong government. Harappa

  4. Builders built streets and homes and dug wells. Engineers were highly skilled and built sewer systems. Craft workers made jewelry and seals. Potters made water jars and cookware. Metal workers used copper, made fishhooks, and razors. Weavers made cotton cloth. Jobs

  5. The Harappan traded with neighbors near and far, including Mesopotamia. They used small sailboats to travel down river and along the coast. They traded stone seals, received lapis lazuli and traded the necklaces they made for other things. Harappan Trade
