Perform • Definition • To go through or execute in the proper, customary, or established manner: • Example of use • To perform the marriage ceremony.
Complete • Definition • to make whole or entire • Example of use • I need three more words to complete the puzzle.
Aptitude • Definition • capability; ability; innate or acquired capacity for something; talent • Example of use • She has a special aptitude for mathematics.
Pre-Assessment • Definition • the act of assessing; appraisal; evaluation before a subject is taught. • Example of use • A pre-assessment was performed to evaluate a student’s prior knowledge of the subject.
Formative Assessment • Definition • Ongoing assessment of a pupil's educational development within a particular subject area • Example of use • While the students are practicing knot tying, the instructor is performing a formative assessment to see if they are mastering the task.
Summative Assessment • Definition • A general assessment of a pupil's achievements over a range of subjects by means of a combined appraisal of formative assessments • Example of use • At the end of this lesson, you will have a summative assessment to evaluate your mastery of the subject.
Evaluation • Definition • To judge or determine the significance, worth, or quality of • Example of use • To evaluate the results of an experiment.
Lesson Objective • Definition • something that one's efforts or actions are intended to attain or accomplish; purpose; goal; target • Example of use • The objective of a military attack; the objective of a fund-raising drive.
