Strategy of HNMS • Implementation of 2.7Km COSMO-GR and parallel running for Verification purposes, especially for some important cases affected Greek area. • Development of special applications to assist forecaster’s work (TAF, Sea Bulletins etc) • Implementation of COSMO-GR in Nowcasting System • Collaborations with Greek Universities and other National Research Institutes
+ 24 hrs Improvements - applications - research in HNMS for the next year using Cosmo-GR • Better incorporation in Nudging of AMDAR, buoys and AMS information • Operational use of COSMO-GR for pollution events over the East Mediterranean Sea (Collaboration with WMO and MeteoFrance) • Systematic verification of all operational models • Use of the Common Verification developed as a priority project • Use of SREPS results
