  3. Post natal Care • Encourage Breast feeding • Rooming in where possible • Commence lipstiz scoring • If necessary commence 1st line medication or 2nd line medication as appropriate • Support the family • Increased risk of SIDS

  4. What can we do after discharge? • Continue to encourage stable life style • Discourage bed/couch sharing with the baby • Encourage a smoke free home • Use extended family supports if suitable • Professionals communicate on a regular basis
