Donation does not disfigure body or interfere with funeral G. All costs paid by recipient (insurance), Medicare, or Medicaid H. Selling organs is illegal

Organ procurement organizations 1. coordinate activities relating to organ procurement in designated service areas. 2. Evaluate potential donors 3. Discuss donation with family members 4. Arrange for surgical removal of donated organs 5. Currently there are 59 OPO’s operating throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
