Verb to have. Present tense Negative. Para conjugar o verbo “ to have ” na negativa precisamos de um auxiliar. O auxiliar para verbos no presente é o “to do”, em suas duas formas: do / does . Quando usamos o auxiliar “ do / does ” numa frase ele não é traduzido, transmite apenas uma idéia:

  2. Para conjugar o verbo “to have” na negativa precisamos de um auxiliar. O auxiliar para verbos no presente é o “to do”, em suas duas formas: do / does.

  3. Quando usamos o auxiliar “do / does” numa frase ele não é traduzido, transmite apenas uma idéia: Do / Does o verbo está no presente

  4. Para fazer a negativa para: I, you (sing), we, you (pl), they, usamos: Do + not  don’t

  5. Veja como conjugar: I don’t have You don’t have We don’t have You don’t have They don’t have

  6. Exemplos: I don’t have time to go to the movie theater. You don’t have enough money for a hamburger. We don’t have homework to do. You don’t have a friend from Greece. They don’t have blue eyes.

  7. Para fazer a negativa para: He, she, it, usamos Does + not  doesn’t

  8. Veja como conjugar: He doesn’t have She doesn’t have It doesn’t have

  9. Note que ao conjugar a forma negativa para: he / she / it o verbo é “have” e não “has” como na afirmativa.

  10. Exemplos: John doesn’t have a pair of leather boots. Susan doesn’t have a sister. This city doesn’t have many places to go.
