Class Chant To Bedrock by Young Money • We got them big goals, we’re KASA Scholar bad • I’ll do all my work, tryin’ to be a college grad • And we’re all problem solvers, trying the best we can • No matter what the skill, oh yes, we have a plan • I love my algebra, but studying is the key • But I can make predictions, with probability • Add with the product rule, subtract the days away • With Mr. Wyner’s praise, the MSA we’ll slay. • Function tables, • Use the given rule, • Make sure you label, • Multiply divide to make it, • Stable • We can take it to the top • Call us KASA Scholars • MSA, we’ll make it rock
Warm Up • In 4 sentences answer the following: • Name 1-2 things that you liked and disliked about your first day of school.
Finish Procedures • Seat work • Getting out of your seat • Testing practices • Cheating/Academic Misconduct
Seat work • Students are expected to be working quietly in your seat. You are off task if you take more than a few minutes from your work. If you need assistance or have a question raise your hand.
Getting out of your seat • Raise your hand and wait to be called on to get out of your seat
Testing practices • Students will separate desks and quietly sit in their desks and prepare for the test and/or quiz. If students have any questions during the test raise your hand and remain quiet. After the test turn in your exam into the bin, take a worksheet, and remain in your seat and quiet until everyone is finished.
Cheating/Academic Misconduct • Academic misconduct will not be tolerated in school. If you are involved in any academic misconduct you will receive a zero for the assignment and will not be allowed to make it up.
Behavior Expectations • Come to class prepared to learn and be professional • Stay in your seat at all times • Raise your hand to speak (unless otherwise directed) • Be respectful and polite to all people • All school policies apply in Mr. Wyner’s room • NO FOOD, CANDY, OR SUNFLOWER SEEDS
Consequences • If you choose not to follow the rules, you are choosing to: • Loss of KasaKash • Exclusion of privileges • Be referred for after-school detention • Phone call or note home • Be referred for more serious disciplinary action such as suspension** • (**Will be accompanied by family notification)
Positive Reinforcement • If you choose to follow the rules, you are choosing to: • Be an exemplary mathematician • Receive praise from the teacher, administrators and classmates • Receive positive phone calls home • Earn individual/Class privileges

Setting Big Goals • Hand students cut-out stars and have students write their short term goal (1 Year) and long term goal (In high school or after) • Students will clean up after they are done
Parent/Student Survey • Give students Student/Parent survey • Student will fill out as much as possible and bring home to complete as a homework assignment. • Students will clean up and be dismissed
