  2. WHAT IS SMARTEACH • We at SMARTEACH, are committed to impart soft skills and Personality Development training services to academic institutions and other organisations. With wide prowess in delivering technology enabled learning and development solutions and internationally recognized course content and teaching methodology, SMARTEACH is well placed to bridge the requirement of students and other professionals that will be required in the near future.

  3. WHY SMARTEACH • With Globalization and Government policy changes, many multinational firms have opened their facilities in India. • Increase in employment opportunities at every level and hence changing the entire recruitment process as well. • Technical knowledge and Certification are the prerequisites for an ideal candidate for well-paying jobs in multinational organisations. Is it true? • There is an unquestionable paradigm shift in the demands of the corporate world. • More and more organisations believe that in order to gain a competitive advantage, make sure their stakeholders know how to handle themselves at work and how to relate with their customers and peers. • In order to meet this most important criteria and to achieve this magical transformation, soft skills are essential.

  4. WHY SMARTEACH • Education curriculum in our country emphasises rote learning. • To change the curriculum, lot of deliberations and permissions are required. • Moreover, the concerned syllabus is also not updated periodically, which adds to their woes. • Same set of questions is asked year after year. The end result- If your memorization skills are good, you may cram and score well. • But that doesn't mean that you have the skills industry is looking for.

  5. Need of the Hour • The leaders of industry have reiterated that, in this changing milieu, they now seek potential candidates. • Who are the Potential Candidates- - i.e., graduates with sound technical knowledge as well as efficiency in soft skills. • How can this be achieved? - by giving the students adequate and appropriate training in soft skills, so that they are industry-ready and become productive from Day One.

  6. Need of the Hour • Effective interaction needs to take place across all segments for the smooth running of any organization: -Internal - Between employees of same cadre, between employees of different cadre. -External-Between an organization and another, between worker and client. • Hence, to overcome the soft skills crisis and to achieve desirable results, certain changes need to be made in the regular curriculum.

  7. What Should Be Taught? • Honing soft skills should address the development of attitudes and attributes as well as improvement in communication skills. This will, in turn, result in the ability to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively and interact with the right attitude. For this, the following three aspects should be focused on: • Communication skills • Interpersonal skills • Problem solving skills

  8. Training and Certification • Soft skills Training • GD-PI Preparation • Aptitude Training

  9. Soft skills Training • A distinction is maintained between soft skills and hard skills. While hard skills refer to technical and academic skills, soft skills refer to wide-ranging personal and interpersonal skills. Academic and technical skills can be more easily defined, observed and measured. However, the measurement of personal and interpersonal skills requires complex factors.

  10. SOFT SKILLS-CONTENTS • Effective Communication Skills - verbal, non-verbal, pronunciation and intonation, identifying and removing barriers to communication, acquisition of different styles of communication. • Business Presentation Skills - negotiation, structuring effective presentation, assertiveness. • Behavioural Traits - attitude, motivation , time and stress management, business ethics, leadership and inter personal skills and team building. • Problem-solving Skills - creative, critical and analytical thinking, conflict handling, and decision-making.

  11. GD-PI Preparation • Today Group Discussions and Personal Interviews have become synonymous with recruitment for every corporation. Group discussions are a simple yet a very powerful way to determine a candidate’s knowledge on a topic at the same time to gauge his interpersonal skills. • Personal interview preparation requires a more thorough and detailed approach where candidates are made familiar with the nuances of body language, facial expressions and most importantly how these can be utilized for optimum results. Personal interviews are a great avenue to sell oneself to the panel.

  12. Aptitude Training • Organizations are not only looking for individuals with a prescribed skill set but more importantly individuals with an aptitude to expand this required skill set in the course of their work.

  13. MODE OF DELIVERY • SMARTEACH is designed for the convenience of the students wherein the facilitators will come to a student’s college/organisation, conduct the session and personally answer questions and look after any doubts the students/professional might have. It is highly interactive and designed to give the recipient the much needed edge that is required to be ahead of the curve in today’s highly competitive world.
