Fig x. Location; Bidjovaggedeposits are located in northern Norway about 40 kilometers northwest of Kautokeino village.

Bidjovagge mine camp in 2016; waste rock piles, heaps of marginal ore, filled open pits, wel executed after care – area not usefu for reindeer herding Bidjovagge mine camp in 2016; waste rock piles, heaps of marginal ore, filled open pits, after care well executed – area not useful for reindeer herding but not a problem either Size of ore zone containing known deposits roughly 5 km2, all deposits covered by extraction (mining) permits
Production statistics 1970-1991 Note! In earlier production periods the occurence of gold was not known, nor paid for. From 1987 Bidjovagge was a gold-copper mine with excellent profitability.

Mineral Resources in Scoping Study 2010,estimated by Outotec Oy
Exploration was successfully continued by Arctic Gold AB in 2011-2012 • The ore building processes are well known, good potential for new ores was proved: • A new mineral resource was discovered; Karin deep • Another new resource ”North field” was also discovered, under Caledonidic cover further to the North • Known mineral resources were increased by infill drilling
In February 2012 Arctic Gold AB announced that mineral reserve has increased
More new discoveries, see annual report 2012 A new resource called Karin Deep, North of the open pitted Karin, was announced in February 2012: 195,000 tonnes with good grades and open both laterally and at depth.. Earlier mined sub-economical ore has been deposited in marginal ore heaps. Sampling of these in 2011 was followed by laboratory tests at Mineral Technological laboratory/GTK in Outokumpu. The estimate shows a resource of 300,000 tonnes @ 1.79 g/t gold and 0.60 % copper = a metal content of approx 537 kg gold and 1,800 tonnes of copper – ready for crushing and flotation with promising recoveries: 90 % for copper 90% and 80% for gold. The ore estimate by Outotec gave 2.059 Mt @ 1.60 g/t gold and 1.15 % copper, see earlier slide. The total mineral resource, calassified as indicated resources, totaling 2.3 Mt @ 1.62 g/t gold and 1.08 % copper. The corresponding metal contents are 3,800 kg of gold and 25,000 tonnes of copper.
For new extraction permits B7,8,9 and 10 were granted by Dirmin in December,2018. Map by the Dirmin authority. Also location of older extraction permits B1..B5 shown
According to the Norwegian Plan- og bygningsloven, a program and an application was filed in 2012.The application was ”rejected” / not handled by the municipality.
