Homework assignment – due Tue 1/29 • Use the Excel spreadsheet on the course web page to model my office temperature • Considerations: • check out the guts of the rather simple spreadsheet Play with it: • what happens if heat loss is larger than heater output? • what happens if heat loss is much smaller than heater output ? • what happens if these two are about matched (or equal?) • is there a way to improve the “brain” of our heater ? • what does this model well, where does it fail?
