Nebraska Teacher Standards Performance Framework • 40 Committee Members from State Educational Stakeholder Groups • Used National Standards and The Framework for Teaching by Charlotte Danielson • State Board of Education adopted the Teacher Performance Framework in Nov. • Intended as best practice - not mandated http://www.education.ne.gov/
Where Have We Been? After meeting last summer, Administrators indicated they….. • Want an evaluation tool based on the Nebraska Teacher “Standards” • Want a tool used to help teachers improve • Would like it to be a mobile, electronic tool • Want to work collaboratively

ESU 10 ODIE System The evaluation tool will be managed through our ODIE system which will enable schools to build the tool and set levels of access.
Using the DATA Collected • What does the data tell us? • How will we use the data? • How can the data inform our Professional Development plan? School Improvement? • How can the data help us help teachers?
ESU 10’s Role • Facilitation of the creation of the tool • Professional development in the use & understanding of the tool/process • Management of the technology • ESU wide reports for the purpose of identifying needs & designing aligned PD • Assisting schools in prioritizing local PD needs
What Does The Tool Look Like? • Mobile Device For Walk-Throughs • Data Feeds Formal Evaluation Form • Printable Reports/Evaluation Forms • Levels of Access Determine Views
