Volunteer opportunities Team Registration Game Demos 10:30-11:30 Choose one session to attend: Introduction to CSM Lego Robotics Competition Intro. to VEX Robotics VRC Competition & League Play 11:30-12:00 Choose one session to attend: Q & A, Lego Q & A, VEX Remember to turn in your Team Registration Form.

  3. What’s new this year in Lego Robotics? • Green City Challenge • Includes curriculum • 3 levels of competition • Training workshops offered in each county • Lego Championship at CSM during STEM Week,April 13, 2013 with Trophies, Awards, and Prizes.

  4. What’s new in VEX Robotics? • CSM sponsoring Southern Maryland VEX League • Benefits: • More play opportunities • Each team plays in 3 of 4 sessions, Nov. – Feb. • League Championship at CSM • more World Championship Qualifying opportunities for Southern MD teams • Open only to Southern MD teams • Requires a minimum of 24 teams signed up before Oct. 1. • Will rely more on volunteers. • League Championship at CSM February 16, 2013 with Trophies, Awards, and Prizes.

What else is new? • Robotics Lab, ST building, room 162 • Home of the Talons, the college robotics team • VEX scrimmages • Shared with Cybersecurity program • Community workshops and other events • May be scheduled by VEX teams by contacting Bernice Brezina. • College Level Robotics Tournaments

  6. Volunteer Opportunities • Lego • CSM Lego Challenge April 13, 2013 • VEX • League Ranking Sessions, 4 total (Nov. – Feb.) with each team playing in 3. • League Championship at CSM February 16, 2013 • College Tournaments • Scrimmages All Events listed in robotevents.com
