  2. GETTING THERE • A plane ticket to Italy for one person would cost about $1701.20 • You will need to buy a passport to travel out of the country. A passport will cost about $135. you can get a passport at a local postal service. • Immunization shots or vaccinations are essential to travel to Venice. To travel you will need to have your influenza, chicken pox, polio, measles, and tetanus shots. You will also need a hepatitis B vaccination. • One American dollar is equivalent to .75 Euros.

  4. Living There • I chose to stay in the neighborhood of Cannaregio. • One of the loveliest and most authentic neighborhoods in Venice, Cannaregio is home to Venice’s Jewish Ghetto, the train station of Santa Lucia… and to the majority of Venice’s actual residents.

  5. Getting Around • The easiest and cheapest way to get around Venice is to ride the Vaporetto. • A single trip on the Vaporetto costs $6.50. • Some other ways to get around is the Santa Lucia train, Gondola or by boat.

  7. Playing and Entertainment • There are plenty of things to do in Venice including: shopping, golfing, movies, and fantastic restaurants! • Soccer is big in Italy maybe when you are there you can go see a soccer game. • Of course you have to go to the beach which has many things to do itself.
