Kaizen Event Defined • Kaizen - “To Make Better”. • “Taking a Process Apart” and “Discovering How to Make it Better”. • How is this different from other improvement initiatives
Kaizen Event Basics • Throw out all the old ideas about how to do things.(We’ve always done it this way) • Never accept excuses, deny the status quo.(But the instruction says…….) • Don’t seek perfection first.(Mistakes will be made)
Kaizen Event Basics (cont’d) • Ask “WHY” until the Root Cause is found. • Ten people’s ideas are better that one person’s. • Improvement knows no limits!!!!
