1. This tutorial begins at http://library.cpit.ac.nz/ or Google CPIT Library and choose the first link. 2. Select Subject Guides & Databases in bottom right
3. Browse by subject to select Nursing 4. Select Databases / Articles 5. Select CINAHL with full text 6. Select Advanced Search
7 a. Enter your search terms. • Use OR to combine similar terms e.g. treatment OR management • ulcer* will find ulcer, ulcers, ulcerated etc. b. Tickfull text c.Add your date range e.g. 2007 – 2012 d.Tick peer-reviewed (See note in Slide 7) e. Click on Search
8. Select PDF Full text to view full article 9. When you have opened your document you can: • Print the article • Email the article to yourself. (Recommended)
10. Use the back arrow in the top left corner to: • return to your search results • alter your search terms if necessary Note about peer-reviewed articles A peer-reviewed article is one that has been assessed by experts in the applicable field and then approved for publication by that journal.
