But in some instances, they see things a bit differently. While the top two priorities (quality, physician recruitment) are shared by CFOs and healthcare leaders across the industry, the CFOs don’t as firmly embrace the overall choice for No. 3 (consumer satisfaction). Rather, these finance folks see reimbursement rounding out the top 3, with consumer satisfaction back in the No. 7 slot.
CFOs concerned about economy, quality We also see the CFOs differ on the top drivers of healthcare costs. They see physician inefficiency as the fourth-biggest driver, while overall, healthcare leaders from all sectors ranked that at No. 10. Similarly, while malpractice came in at No. 5 overall, CFOs ranked it as only the tenth-most significant cost driver. CONTINUED
