Introduction My name is Jack Reid and I live in Leigh Creek, South Australia. I have been living in Leigh Creek for 14 years now ( My whole life) The reason why I live in Leigh Creek is because my mum and dad work at the coal field. I have two sisters and a brother, their names are Taylor, Maddie and Jett. I have been going to Leigh Creek Area School for my whole life now. I work at the local servo station as a cook, I have also worked at the Leigh Creek bottle depot counting bottles. My personal interests are mechanics, sports, hanging out with friends, riding my bike, playing video games and computers, I like things with engines such as motorbikes and cars, I also like to play sports such as basketball and footy. I like to hang out with friends making dirt bike jumps and riding my bike.
Introduction • My family is the important thing to me, if I didn't have my family I wouldn't be able to get anywhere, for example every Saturday my mum drives me down south to play football, so if I didn't have family I wouldn't have anything. • In the future I want to doing something that involves computers, such as a IT technician, but I would also like to be a mechanic fix cars, engines, motorbikes, etc. • I want to get better at mechanical work because it would lead me to a better future.
Definitions • Work: Work means to go out into the community and get a job, for example I have had two part time jobs, But I am currently working at my local servo station. • Citizenship: Citizenship means to go out into the community and help out in local events, even taking role in these sporting events. maybe even take part in part time work. • Learning : Learning means to learn new or add on to existing knowledge of something, whether its in schooling, or learning something new out side of the school, e.g. work. • Communication: Communication means to talk, whetherits face to face, email, message, etc there are many ways to communicate in today's society. • Personal Development: Personal development means to learn/improve on old skills. By learning new skills you are improving physically or mentally on your strengths and weaknesses.
Examples of the definitions • Work: I am currently working at the local Leigh Creek servo station, I have also worked at bottle depot, working at the Leigh Creek servo and the bottle depot has taught me leadership, being on time, being on task and many other skills. • Citizenship: I take part in local events such as basketball, footy and tennis, participating in these events has taught me teamwork and leadership. I am currently doing part time work at the moment at the local servo station, which has taught me to be determine, on time, show leadership and have pride in my work. • Learning: I am currently learning new things everyday at school I am also learning new things at work at the Leigh Creek servo, every day I am continuing to learn new things. • Communication: Every day I show communication by socializing to people in the community, I also communicate via email, facebook, mobile phone and face to face, I show these everyday. • Personal development: I am showing personal development by accepting feedback and what people think about me, By doing that I am improving in different skills, I use different strategies to achieve my goals.
Multi Intelligences By doing this test I have worked out my multi intelligences, I do agree with the answers that I got, these results show that I am more Kinaesthetic (Body smart), Naturalistic (Nature smart), Visual/spatial (Picture smart), Interpersonal (People smart) and Interpersonal (Myself smart) then I am Linguistic (Word smart), Logical ( Number smart) and Musical( Music smart).
