  1. 12/12/13 • Periods 2 and 8 – We are working on writing a science fiction story, about the universe. No weekend homwork. • Periods 4,5,6– RACE DAY -- FRIDAY, THE 13th. • Monday – let’s calculate our rates of speed and share them with each other. Tuesday – identify the three variables,, construct a data table and write results. Wednesday – compose your conclusion. • Thursday – rewrite it all in really nice handwriting.

  2. Step 1: I am using an 18-mm long coffee stirrer as the axle for my car. Step 2: I will need to cut a drinking straw down to a 16-mm length to serve as the axle housing, which I attach to the body of the car.Step 3: Using a ruler, I find the center of the cut drinking straw and mark it so I can position it onto the body of the car.Step 4:The body of the car will consist of a popsicle stick. Step 5: Using a hot-glue gun, I affix one axle housing at one end of the popsicle stick, and the other axle housing at the other end of the stick.
