  2. 数据库简介 • IEL全称为IEEE/IEE ELECTRONIC LIBRARY • IEEE/IEE为美国电气电子工程师学会/英国电气工程师学会缩写，其出版的出版物是电气和电子工程领域最重要的文献资料，约占全世界该领域核心文献的1/3。 • IEL数据库提供1988年以来IEEE和IEE出版的221种期刊、7398种会议录、1497种标准的全文信息，包括1,000,000余篇文章、2,000,000 余页PDF文件和500,000余位作者（截至2005年3月28日）。

  3. 数据库简介 • 包括从1988年以来的文摘和全文以及精选的自1950年出版的IEEE期刊, 学报和杂志，IEEE会议录，IEE期刊，IEE会议录以及当前的IEEE标准 。 • IEL更新速度很快，一般每周更新一次，每月增加25,000余篇最新文献。而且，每年IEEE还会有新的出版物加入到IEL中去。 • 用户通过检索可以浏览、下载或打印与原出版物版面完全相同的文字、图表、图像和照片的全文信息。

  8. 数据库访问 • 杭电校园网范围内IP可以直接访问，无需输入帐号与口令（教师校外访问可使用代理服务器，具体方法请咨询图书馆技术部）。 • 数据库并发用户数限制为15人，超出会出现“All available online seats are currently being occupied”的信息，并提示输入用户名和帐号。因此请用户检索之后尽快退出，以便他人使用。 • 浏览/打印期刊全文（PDF格式）需要使用Acrobat Reader软件。

  20. 检索规则 • 检索词包括：关键词、主题词、姓名、号码或词组。 • 词组检索时若不做特殊说明，系统则认为词组间的词是“与”关系。如：fuzzy control 为fuzzy and control。 • 用引号将检索词括起，表示对检索词做精确检索。如：“fuzzy control”，就不会被认为是fuzzy and control。 • 系统会自动检索以检索词为词干的字，包括总数(s/es)、现在式(-ing)和过去式(-ed)。例如输入：“cable”，系统便会寻找所有包含cable, cables, cabled 和cabling这些字的文章。 • 通配符，用“？”和“*”表示，“？”代表一个字母，“*”代表多个或没有字母，当不确定一个词怎么拼写时可以使用。例如：不清楚作者的姓是“Burger”还是“Berger”就可以用“B？rger”来进行检索。

  21. 布尔逻辑 • 布尔逻辑符:“AND”、“OR”、“NOT”用来连接检索词以构造具有逻辑关系的检索语句 • A and B：检索结果既包括A也包括B • A or B: 检索结果包括A或者B • A not B: 检索结果包括A但不包括B • 例： FIND A AND B AND C FIND A OR B OR C FIND A OR B NOT C

  22. 检索举例 • 假设您想查找一份由F.Leonard撰写，标题为“First-Order Optimal Reduced Delay Sample-Data Holds”,刊载在IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control 1999年7月号的文章，可以输入以下检索条件： • “sample data holds” in: “Title” “And” “automatic control” in:”Journal Name” “And” “Leonard” in “Author”

  23. 检索举例 • 假设您想查找一份标题为“Evolving Optical Fiber Designs”,由K.M.Able在IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering发表的论文，可以输入以下的检索条件： • “Optical Fiber” in: “Title” “And” “Electrical and Computer” in: “Conf Title” “And” “Able” in: “Author”
