Vocabulary • Data Set – the group of numbers/ or the information • Mean – the average of a data set • Median – the number that falls in the middle when the data is arranged order from least to greatest • Mode – the number that occurs most often • What is the purpose of using these measures? The purpose is to compare different data sets.
