  2. Admissions • Apply online at douglascollege.ca/apply • Online application opens 1 year in advance • General admission requirements: douglascollege.ca/admissions • Program requirements and course listings: douglascollege.ca/calendar • Application fee: $30 domestic / $100 international

English Requirement and Course Prereqs Students need English 12 with a C or… • Accepted substitutions listed at:douglascollege.ca/admissions • Douglas College English Assessment…write it early!douglascollege.ca/assessment • Assessment also required if registering in ENGL or CMNS courses and English 12 grade is less than B • Assessments often needed for Math…check prerequisites!

  4. What to expect? Open Enrolment - Arts, Science, Academic Foundations • Current high school students will be conditionally accepted pending final grades • Students will receive: • An email confirming application and student ID • A conditional acceptance by email and letter • Watch for Registration Alert in the mail in May

Limited Enrolment - ECE, Sport Science, Vet Tech • Students will receive: • An email confirming application and student ID • A letter from their Admissions Officer with next steps and required information • An offer of admission will be sent if student is eligible and seats are available • Some programs have preferential admission • Track application online at douglascollege.ca/apply

  6. PSI Selections and Final Grades www.bced.gov.bc.ca/transcript/transcripts_info • Ensure all students complete PSI Selections by March 1 • Students will receive confirmation of final grades via email in late-July • Deadline to submit transcript if not received in Ministry download: AUGUST 18

  7. Email, email, email! We are using email for many of our communications • Accurate email addresses are vital • Check email often • Offers of admission will be sent by letter and email

Concurrent Studies • A great opportunity for students to get College credit and experience while still in high school • Students are permitted to take 1 or 2 courses per semester • No application fee is required • All deadlines and policies apply to concurrent students • Documents to submit: • Application for Admission form • Concurrent Studies Application form • Current secondary school transcript
