Uses of Quotation marks • Quotation marks are used to designate spoken word in text. • There are Direct quotation marks that are used to quote someone's words. • Quotations are also used in writing article titles in text or in a bibliography. • Quotation marks are used in more texts than most people consider.

  3. Direct Quotation Marks • Direct Quotation marks are used to quote text directly from another source. Example: The guy in the red shirt said, nice truck.

  5. Title quotations • If you are writing a title of a song, poem, or short story. The title of the song, poem, or short story is in quotation marks. Example: The name of the song is Wheels.
